Casual Monday

Nothing much to write about my outfit just that I had a wonderful day yesterday - memorial day.
I decided to style my hair differently today. The inspiration was from the desire to minimize any heat contributing factors: so no hair touching my neck or face.

My dress was scored at a goodwill store. The brand is Gap.

I have great testimonies of the wonders of accepting and allowing his love to just wash over you.

There is always this peace and gladness in my heart that I cannot explain :)

Hello Miss Pilotto

"A woman whose smile is open and whose expression is glad has a kind of beauty no matter what she wears."Anne Roiphe

My whole outfit idea was centered around this lovely printed skirt from target. The outfit was a perfect evening outfit for me and i wore it to a friend's graduation party.
The low back of the shirt added something extra to the outfit.

If you still haven't guessed from my past posts (here or here), i will just spell it out - I am in LOVE with blue and prints. it's a special love affair between us

Boyfriend jeans - From my closet (i don't remember)
Black and gold belt - forever 21

These sandals was from target and was a great steal compared to the Steve Madden and other designer versions. Steve Madden version was for about $90, Giuseppe Zanotti was for about $300 at DSW. Irina wrote a detailed post about it in 2013
I styled the t-shirt in two ways. I wore it with cargo shorts and colored flats during the warm day.
Shorts - JcPenny (boys section)
Flats - Kohls ( Jennifer Lopez)

Floral chic: Iro and buba (tulip style)

Iro(Ee-roe) and buba(boo-bah
New fashion trend for young Nigerian ladies is the Knotted Iro(tulip style wrapper) and buba(top). This new style of wearing the 2 piece outfit has made iro and buba very common among the young ladies. The outfit can be custom made with any fabric but most commonly used fabrics are silk, chiffon and lace.

I was so into this outfit. I was feeling the red carpet too.
I decided to wear hot pink two strap sandals with the outfit to complement the bright colors.

Outfit details:
  • Top and wrapper - I bought the material from a fabric store and my tailor custom made it.
  • Shoes - Macy's (Brand - Calvin Klein )
  • Gold accessories from my closet, bought some time back.
As always, your comments and shares are welcome :).
Also let me know if you want me to make a post about how to tie it.
